Howard L. Turner Post 276 - Veterans Serving Veterans

Members of Post 276,

Well, fall is here and we are still as busy as ever! Kitchen repairs have been completed. Our first dinner in October, provided by former Commander Marcelo Teixeira, was a great opportunity to welcome our Delegates and show them the completed work. Their support was instrumental in helping the Post receive a state-sponsored grant that made these much-needed repairs possible.

We are proud to sponsor a new Boy Scout Troop that meets every Wednesday in our hall. We also continue to sponsor a Civil Air Patrol Squadron that meets every Monday.

There are always great activities at Post 276, including Bluegrass jams, Bingo, and Karaoke, each held twice each month. Be sure to follow our Facebook page and website for upcoming events, including our annual Friendsgiving Feast, where we welcome members of Post 276, veterans, and active-duty service members who would like to celebrate Thanksgiving together.

As we continue moving forward, we know new challenges will arise. Working together, our members have always found ways to overcome obstacles and strengthen our Post.

The American Legion—and Post 276—exists because of our members. If you have not yet renewed your membership, please consider doing so today. Renew online or stop by the Lounge to submit your payment. If you know someone who is eligible to join, invite them to visit the Post and experience the many benefits of Legion membership.

I would also like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new members and those who have recently transferred to Post 276.

I look forward to seeing everyone around the Post, and I sincerely thank you for your continued support.

God bless you all!

Marcelo Teixeira
Commander
